Thursday Post

Today in class me and Justin worked on our project in masher since it was running today, but we ran into a variety of problems and are going to have to do it in iMovie or something similar to it. We are doing our video about the advantages and problems with texting. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out. I also looked real quick on "Cnet.com" and found something that caught my interest.

For those of you who use "Hulu" or have an Xbox 360 you may want to look at this.

Tuesday Blog

Those two videos on the class blog was pretty interesting like the first video the public learning network video the way everything is organize is pretty neat on "Symbaloo".I made an account and looked around and it looks like something I would actually use it helps you manage your bookmarks easier. And you can put whatever in each tile on your page like she uses "Evernote" which is the same context as "Diigo".

Now the other video about the principle wanting middle school kids to not use "Facebook" and all those social media sites, this is sort of true kids in the 4th,5th,6th grade don't really need to be on "Facebook" but I don't believe there is a rule to how old you have to be that I know of. Even if kids are that young on "Facebook" getting bullied on the internet or in other terms "Cyber Bullied". Why can't they just block the people pestering them and not have to worry about it. Now I wouldn't want to exactly ban middle grade kids from social media sites because it's basically this generation is going to be based on along with up and coming technology. These kids need to learn about these sites, but not use them too much.

Wednesday Post

Today we learned about twitter it's pretty interesting even though I have never had plans to use it. It's kind of nice to follow my favorite TV stars or Youtube people like @RayWJ, @nicepeter etc and they tweet when they have new videos or to talk to fans. I might use this every once in a while to see what people are doing.

Technology and Me

One technology I couldn't live without would probably be my phone. With it I can easily contact anyone I know in just a few seconds. To make plans etc. And you can do this just about anywhere rather than how it used to have to be done by home phone or e-mail. You can do many things from your phone just like you could on your computer phones have apps for "Facebook", "Twitter" and if you phone gets internet you got "Youtube", e-mail, and many others.

Monday's Post

Today's class I looked at some of my alerts and found a few interesting things like information about "Windows 8", and how we have a new way to make crude oil. We have started making oil out of recycled plastic just like we do with some clothing and carpets. And now they have finally made a program that alerts you when someone is keylogging you (for those who don't know what keylogging is: Keylogging from what I know is basically where someone watches your screen and they have a program to show them what you are typing even your passwords). Sadly I don't have the links, but you can find those stories on "Cnet.com" in the latest news tab. I also watched the tutorial on "Screencast-O-Matic" and it seems pretty simple I am going to work on that at home and put it on Youtube and put it on my blog unless they have the embed code.
